Sophia Herrera

She graduated from Kokomo High School and attended New Life Church in Kokomo. She enjoyed working with the disabled and was always doing good deeds. She had a heart of gold.

Sophia loved spending time with her nieces and nephews and was always there for her parents and family.

She is survived by her husband, Urbano Flores of Kokomo; three sisters, Mary Romero (Raul), Marisela Peperak, and Rose Emma Herrera; one brother, Tony Herrera; twelve nieces and nephews; five great nieces and nephews; and her best friend, Patty Blaisdell.

Sophia loved her two dogs which were her babies, Sissy and Lucrecid.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jose Castillo, Petra Castillo and Guadalupe Antonio Herrera, and her cousins, Jesse Castillo and Suzanna Pingleton.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 3, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 4, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Randy Blankenship officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.
