Steve Oscar Smith

Steve graduated from Kokomo High School in 1959 and went on to work for Delco Electronics for over 30 years until his retirement. Steve was an avid fisherman who loved the outdoors especially being on the water. He spent 38 days traveling the Great American Loop ending in St. Pete Beach where he spent 23 beautiful years in retirement.

Above all else he loved spending time with his family.

Steve married Sandy Halmage in 1966 who still survives. He was the father of son Brent (Cinda); daughters Renee, Tara and Jami (Tim), the grandfather of Joshua, Garrison, Nikki, Gabrielle, Bryce and Brady, the great grandfather of Emma, Sawyer and soon the birth of Josie.

Steve is preceded in death by his parents Harry Sr. & Tiny; brothers Harry Jr. and Tom Smith.

Visitation for Steve will be Thursday March 9, 2023 4:00pm-6:00pm with funeral services Friday March 10, 2023 11:00am at Ellers Mortuary 725 S. Main Street Kokomo. Burial will follow in Crown Point Cemetery, Kokomo. Pastor Jeff Sexton with officiate.
