Steven Craig McFarland

Steven was born in Indianapolis to his parents Billy Joe and Virginia Louise McFarland on September 18th, 1967.

He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents, uncles, and mother and father in law.

Steven worked at Westfield Steel for the past sixteen years as the plant supervisor. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, playing Texas Hold’em and Euchre, and bowling at Heritage Lanes. His greatest joy was spending time with his family who loved him dearly.

He was a member of the Moose Lodge #1617 in Petersburg and a longtime member of Peace Lutheran Church.

Steven was a loving husband, father, son, and brother whose funny and outgoing personality will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to have known him.

He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years Patricia “Patti” Louise McFarland, mother Virginia Louise McFarland, children Todd (Heidi Lynn) McFarland, Heather McFarland, and Emily McFarland; brother Bernard “Lee” McFarland; brothers in-law Mike Bergstrom, Richard Schroeter, Scott Schroeter, Brian Reese, Tim Sutton; sister Susie Smith; sisters in-law Nicole Sutton and Michelle Schroeter. Steven is also survived by his three grandchildren Lea and Corbin McFarland, and Jayden Calloway; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorial Contribution in Steven’s honor may be made to Peace Lutheran Church (750 E Markland Ave. 46901)

Services will be held Friday January 20th at 10:00am with calling one hour prior at Peace Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held Thursday January 19th from 4:00-8:00pm at Ellers Mortuary (3400 S Webster Street)
