Tausha Kimyada Hayashida, 49, passed away on April 3, 2026, at Ascension St. Vincent Kokomo. She was born September 29, 1976, in Kokomo, to the late Glenn Hayashida and Valery (Bennett) Marcum, and she survives.
Tausha worked in the medical field in administration for many years. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, and canning. She was an avid reader. Above all, Tausha loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving family include her mother, Valery (Mike) Marcum; fiance, Donald Carey; daughter, Athena Carey; son, Orion Carey; four grandchildren, Ezra, Osiris, Sebastian, and Andromeda; brother, James Burke; sister, Jackie Burke; and maternal grandmother, Dixie Bennett.
She is preceded in death by her father, Glenn Hayashida; her maternal grandfather, Jack Bennett; and her paternal grandparents.
There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
