

Thelma Louise (Pearcy) Riley, 95, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, January 25, 2017 at North Woods Village. Thelma was born to John and Celah Pearcy on September 7, 1921 in Miami, Indiana. She graduated from Clay Township High School in Miami County, then worked for Reliance, and Delco Electronics. Thelma married her husband Dallas Riley on July 12, 1941, and he precedes her in death.
Thelma was an active member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church. She enjoyed shopping and going out to eat.
Thelma is survived by her daughter, Carol Barnett; grandchildren Doug (Nancy) Barnett and Tara Heath; great-grandchildren Ryan and Jacob Morgan, Nick Barnett, and Christian Heath; step-great-granddaughter Trisha Jenkins; four great great-grandchildren, two step great great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, son-in-law Joe Barnett; two brothers, Donald Pearcy and infant Lindy; three sisters, Doris Rayl, Carolyn Ingram, and Marilyn Glassburn; and special friend Milton Jenkins.
Friends and family may call from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 30 at Ellers Webster Street Chapel. A funeral service will follow, officiated by Pastor Mitch Norwood. Thelma will be laid to rest at Galveston Cemetery.
