Virginia I Thompson

Virginia I Thompson, age 83, of Kokomo, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2022. Virginia was born September 18, 1938 in Bald Knob, AK to the late William Dallas and Vera Julitte (Holden) Reed. She married Martin J. Thompson in 1958 and he preceded in death in 1998.

Virginia graduated from Kokomo High School in 1958. She retired from Syndicate Sales after 40 years of employment. She was a founder of the union at Syndicate Sales. Virginia was very active in family-camping and Good Sams Club. She was a mother of two sons and actively participated in raising her grandchildren.

Surviving are two sons, Martin Lewis Thompson, Jr. and William "Bill" James Thompson Sr.; four grandchildren, Sara (Geoff) Saulmon, William Thompson Jr., Katie Thompson, and Jonathan Thompson; great-grandchild, Kaylee Saulmon; and sister, Margaret Gates.

Preceded her in death is her loving husband of 40 years, Martin; and her parents.

There will be a time of visitation for Virginia on Saturday, September 3 from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at 12:00 P.M. at Ellers Mortuary Main Chapel, 725 S. Main Street, Kokomo with Rev. Lucretia Jenkins-Thompson officiating. Entombment will follow at Ever Rest Memorial.
