

William "Bill" G. Tedlock, 94, went Home to be with the Lord on October 29th, 2018. Bill was born to Nelson and Eva Tedlock on October 16th, 1924 in Russiaville, Indiana. Bill attended Kokomo High School. Bill served our country in the United States Army for 3 years, serving in World War II and The Battle of the Buldge. Later, he retired after working as a postal clerk for 27 years. He also ran Ted's Upholstery Shop for 35 years. Bill married Merry Rosalea Lamberson on February 21st, 1946 and she preceded him in passing in 1992. Bill later married Metta Arthur in May of 2000 and she survives.
Bill enjoyed camping with his family and friends. He kept busy with building projects with his brothers. Bill started a Company C with his twin brother, John. Bill would drive a long way for a good meal and a piece of gooseberry pie with his family. Bill was a member of the Euchre Club and a longtime member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church and their Builder's Class Sunday School. He enjoyed the church campouts. In May of 2015, Bill partipated in the Indy Honor Flight. Bill was an avid Wildkats and Cubs fan. Bill will be dearly missed by his friends and family.
Bill leaves behind his wife, Metta Tedlock; children Mike (Georgene) Tedlock, Zelma (Hal) Hutto, and Tom (Stacey) Tedlock; step children Debbie (Richard) Andrews and Dave (Dianna) Roades; 7 grandchildren Christy, Leslie, Brian, Adam, Stephanie, Ashley, and Nathan; several great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Bill is preceded in passing by his parents; first wife Merry Rosalea Tedlock; and 15 siblings.
Friends and family may call from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Thursday, November 1st at St. Luke's United Methodist Church, 700 E Southway Boulevard, Kokomo, Indiana 46902. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Mitch Norwood. Bill will be laid to rest on Friday, November 2nd at 1:00 PM with military honors at Sunset Memory Gardens.
