

Born in Center, Missouri to James Sherman and Minnie Mae (Cowden) Gregg. She was predeceased by her loving husband Damon Lee Shulse, whom she followed to San Diego and married on the day Pearl Harbor was bombed, December 7, 1941. She is survived by her older sister Zella Burns of Rogers Arkansas, two daughters Bonnie Gribble and Sisan Salazar, 4 Grandchildren; Michael Salazar, Chris Salazar (Brandi), LeeAnne Gribble Martinez (Frank), Suzanne Gribble Witthaus (Byron), 10 great-grandchildren; Tyler Gribble, Jordan Martinez, Frankie Martinez, Hunter Witthaus, Tyren Witthaus, Hannemae Witthaus, Damon Salazar, Broc Salazar, Brandon Salazar, and Breana Salazar, She spent the last few years of her life living at Grossmont Gardens in La Mesa, CA. Alberta worked hard all her life by the side of her husband. They worked, owned, and ran a commercial laundry in San Diego along with several dry cleaning businesses, then went into the liquor store business, when that got to be more than they could handle at their age, they sold and invested in property throughout San Diego.
She will be buried next to her husband at El Camino Memorial Park, next to her husband, on Tuesday August 12th at 10am.
