Carol Ann Combes

Carol was born in Chicago, IL on December 25, 1943. She was retired from the retail office supply industry, and a resident of San Diego county for 38 years.

Family was immensely important to Carol, and she always made them a priority in her life. Carol is survived by her loving daughter, Charlene R. Plezia; loving brother, Douglas (Peggy) Combes; grandchildren, Abigail R. Plezia, Kayla (Joey) Pasos, Cruz Castillo, and Frank (Monique) Castillo; and great-grandchildren, Elena, Lucas and Alexander. She also leaves behind her niece, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her son, Ryan M. Plezia; her parents, Benjamin F. Combes and June A. Doncer; her sister, Connie Lou Combes and her companion late in life, Michael J. Arras.

Carol enjoyed spending time with family and friends, with deep conversations and having fun times. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, country music and Elvis Presley. Carol loved animals, especially dogs. Her family and friends knew her as a loving, funny, caring, independent person, someone who lived life on her own terms.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 15, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Safari Mobile Lodge park at 1174 E Main St, El Cajon, CA 92021 in the clubhouse.
