Dominic Meyer

Dominic Meyer, 57, passed away on February 9, 2021 due to battling pancreatic cancer for less than a year. He was born on March 14, 1964, in La Mesa, CA. He was a part of the graduating class of 1983 at El Cajon Valley High School and played basketball and was on the track and field team. Shortly after high school Dominic fell in love with music and started his own DJ company in 1983. Dominic was the founder and owner of Sunset Mobile Music and one of San Diego’s favorite DJs for 42 years. He was always positive and looked at the bright side of things no matter the circumstance. He entertained thousands over his career as a DJ and was a special part of many couples wedding days throughout San Diego. His presence and smile will be greatly missed by his family, friends, any everyone who knew him.

Dominic is survived by his wife of 35 years, Carolynn Meyer; his twin children, Evan Meyer and Ashlynn Baer (Meyer); his sweet dogs, Rusty and Encore; along with several extended family members.

A Celebration of Life will be held at The Berkeley Maritime Museum, 1492 N Harbor Dr., San Diego, CA 92101 on Saturday, April 3rd at 5:00 pm. Anyone is welcome to visit, share stories and memories of Dominic on this special day under the sunset. The event will be COVID safe.
