George Alden Perrine Jr.

George Perrine Jr was born March 8, 1936, in Miami, Florida to parents Carolyn and George Perrine Sr. He went through his primary education there, and then received his undergraduate degree at Duke University. He attended University of Florida Medical school and became a neurologist. He served in the medical division of the Air Force from Aug 1962 to July 1964. He practiced neurology until he was 82 years old, helping many people along the way. It is what he loved to do.

He settled in Upper Arlington, Ohio after he completed his medical training, and raised his family there. In 1986 he moved to Southern California with partner Barbara Taggart. They eventually married and settled in Irvine, Cal.

He loved fine wine and food, traveling, and music of all types but especially classical. He enjoyed spending time with his family and stepfamily whenever he could.

George passed July 27, 2024, and is survived by his brothers Kenneth and Michael Perrine; his children Richard Perrine, William Perrine, and Suzanne Golz; his stepchildren Randy, Erin, and Matthew Taggart; his grandchildren Max Perrine, Elaine Golz, Rachel Maxwell, Natalie Golz, Loren and Haley Taggart; and his great grandchildren Miles and Caleb Maxwell, and London Lake.

We will miss his quirky sense of humor, and his generosity!
