ETCS Joseph K. Nicholson, USNR Ret. Born to CWO Jesse F. (USN) and Elizabeth Nicholson on November 20, 1936, in Charleston SC. Died January 17, 2015. Joseph was 78 years old and was a 70-year resident of San Diego. Survived by his wife Mary, brother Phil, sons Jay (Mary), David, and Robert. Step-son Keone Bader (Julisa), and step-daughter Keawe Muse, Joseph was preceded in death by his son Stephen. He has 18 grandchildren and one great grandson. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 31st, at 10:00a.m., at St. Andrew’s Church, 4816 Glen Street, La Mesa, CA 91941. Interment will be at Miramar Memorial Cemetery with military honors on Tuesday, February 3rd, at 1:00p.m. Donation in lieu of flowers can be made to the Arthritis Foundation San Diego, 8555 Aero Dr., Ste. 200, San Diego, CA 92123.
