Mary Lucinda Branson

February 2, 1939 – August 18, 2025

Mary Lucinda Branson, 86, of Jamul, California, passed away peacefully in San Diego on August 18, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Bud Branson, with whom she shared 57 years of marriage, and a devoted mother whose love shaped the lives of her children and grandchildren.

Born in Dayton, Ohio, to Russell and Della Hayes, Mary later attended Southwestern College in Chula Vista, California. She worked in banking, serving as both a teller and secretary to the Bank Manager at Bank of America in Chula Vista.

Above all, Mary was a dedicated mother to Daniel, Becky, and Jonathan. She often said their births changed her life for the better, a truth deeply felt in the love and encouragement she gave so freely. She especially enjoyed reading and cherished her shopping outings with her daughter Becky.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband Bud and her sons Daniel and Jonathan. She is survived by her daughter Becky Carl and son-in-law Ron Carl; grandsons Cody and Dustin Carl; granddaughter Sarah; and great-grandson Tyler. Each will forever hold close the love and warmth she brought into their lives.

Her presence will be profoundly missed, but her memory will continue to inspire and comfort those who loved her.
