Melissa Rae McKittrick

Melissa Rae McKittrick (formerly Nelson), born on October 23, 1980, passed away from a pulmonary embolism on June 15, 2023. She was a native of the greater St. Louis area, specifically Granite City, Illinois. She was cherished as the only daughter of Jerry Nelson and Mary Frances Nelson. After completing high school, Melissa pursued a B.F.A. at Maryville University in Missouri. Following her relocation to San Diego, she employed her diverse talents within the compliance department of a prominent insurance conglomerate. Subsequently, she joined Technology Integration Group (TIG), undertaking various roles. As a result of TIG's acquisition by Converge Technology Solutions (CTS.TO), Melissa most recently assumed the position of Director of Proposal Development. Melissa was highly regarded for her kindness. Additionally, she showcased her talents in painting (watercolor and acrylics) and golfing. She had a keen interest in genealogy. Melissa is survived by her husband, Joseph McKittrick; father, Jerry Nelson; brothers Scott & Rocky Moss and their families. Melissa also has a large extended family residing in Missouri and Southern Illinois, and numerous relatives in San Diego, California. She is also dearly missed by her beloved cat, Peaches. She will be deeply mourned, and her memory brings solace to many family, friends, and coworkers spread across the country.
