Pat was born on November 9, 1937 in St Petersburg, Florida. Her parents eventually moved to Chula Vista where Pat graduated from Chula Vista High School. She met and married her husband, Robert, on February 14.1963 while she was working as a legal secretary. She continued to work that job until the birth of their daughter Deborah. Sons Daniel and Ronald soon followed. In the summer of 1971, the young family moved from San Diego to La Mesa and joined the parish at St. Martins. From that time on she was a devoted wife, mother and exceptional homemaker. As the children started school, Pat devoted time to the various PTA groups and classroom activities as her children progressed through the grades. When the children grew older, Pat spent time volunteering at various charities including St Vincent De Paul Villages.
Pat enjoyed genealogy and traced her ancestors back to the Mayflower. She was a life member of the General Society of Mayflower Descendants. Pat had a lifelong passion for arts and crafts including sewing, quilt making and machine embroidery. For several years she made quilts that the St. Martins Academy auctioned off at their Great Cash Giveaway event. In recent years, she was working through her fabric stash making kennel quilts for animal shelters in need when disasters strike. As the children became adults and moved out to live on their own, Pat started a family tradition of Sunday dinners where nearly every weekend all the children came home for Sunday dinner. That tradition continues even now. Pat enjoyed going on cruises. It didn’t matter too much whether it was on the Ocean, a River or the Great Lakes. She and Robert had just come back from a trip up the Ohio River and had a Cruise to the Sea of Cortez booked for early 2023.
