Paul was born on Oct 31 1959 in Rhodes Island. He was the fourth child of James and Filomena Hammontree. He had three sisters-Nancy, Judy and Pauline and his brother James.In 1989, Paul moved to California and eventually settled in La Mesa in 2006. Here he worked in the food service industry for several companies. His outgoing and friendly personality made him popular with co workers and made him many, many friends throughout his life. In 1991 he met his partner Chris Zuniga and they spent 24 wonderful years together and were married in 2014. Paul was a very active person and enjoyed sailing, tennis, cooking, golf, horseback riding, going to the beach, socializing with friends and spent many hours creating beautiful art. He himself was Art, he was colorful, vibrant and definitely one of a kind. Paul's beautiful smile and infectious laugh will be missed by all that know him but will live on in our hearts forever..
