Anna Gamble Alford

MS Alford was born April 13, 1928 in Londonderry, Ireland, daughter of the late Thomas Gamble and Jane Robb. She moved to LaGrange from Ireland at the age of 18 living here for many years before relocating due to her career. After retiring from the Lessona Corporation where she worked in the Marketing Department MS Alford returned to make her home in LaGrange. MS Alford was a member of St Mark’s Episcopal Church.

In addition to her parents MS Alford was preceded in death by a son, Michael; sister, Eleanor and nephew Thomas.

Survivors include her son Timothy R. (Peggy) Alford SR; two grandsons, Timothy Robb Alford JR and Benjamin Clarke Alford all of Columbia, SC; grandson David, (son of Michael) and his family of LaGrange.

A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of MS Alford will be held 2:00 PM, Sunday, February 8 , 2015 at St Mark’s Episcopal Church, 207 N Greenwood Street, LaGrange GA 30240 with The Reverend R. Allen Pruitt officiating. A reception at the Church will follow the Memorial Service.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations made to, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 810 Dutch Square Blvd Suite 114, Columbia, SC 29210 in memory of Anna G. Alford.
