Barbara Jean Price

Mrs. Price was born May 18, 1938 in LaGrange, daughter of the late Rufus Jones and Flossie Preast Jones. She had lived in LaGrange all her life and was a member of Grayhill Church of God Church. Mrs. Price was retired from the LaGrange Police Department, Detective Division, after 24 years of service. She was a member of the Georgia Police Officers Association.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Troy Price; daughter, Teri (Roy) Ogles; son, Jerry (Stephanie) Price; four grandchildren, Monica Emory, Abby (Brett) Whaley, Katie (Shane) Tanner, and Star Goode; three great grandchildren, Jackson Emory, Clint Tanner, and Elizabeth Whaley; brother, William Taylor, Jr.; sister-in-law, Carolyn Price; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Teresa Price; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held 11:00 A.M. today, April 4, 2011 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary Chapel with Bishop David Cross officiating. Burial followed in Shadowlawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice LaGrange in memory of Barbara Jean Price.
