

Barry Neal, 60, of Hogansville, Georgia, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2024. Born on February 9, 1964, in Russellville, Kentucky, Barry was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, community member, and business owner who lived a life filled with generosity, adventure, and kindness.
Barry is survived by his children, Barry Lynn (Katie) Neal Jr., Ashley (Michael) Lyons, and Joshua Neal; his stepchildren, Lauren (Bennett) Smith, Whitney Jones, and James Jones; and Raquel Neal, with whom he shared 22 years of marriage. He was a devoted grandfather to Penelope Neal, Hunter Welborn, Caroline Smith, Charlotte Smith, and Hudson Smith, who brought endless love and joy to his life.
Barry was a loving brother to Rebecca (Brent) Baker, Elitta (Jim) Sorenson, and Lisa (Chris) Statton. He is also survived by his stepfather, James (Rose) Pace, who provided support and guidance throughout his life. Barry was preceded in death by his mother, Jan Pace, and father, David (Betty) Neal.
Barry was an active member of Faith Baptist Church in LaGrange, Georgia, where he found strength and joy in his faith and the fellowship of his church family.
A devoted member of the community, Barry was passionate about giving back, particularly to the Boys Ranch near his home. His generosity and commitment to helping others left a lasting impact on those around him.
Barry had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and traveling to spend time with friends and family. Weekends often found him visiting hunting locations during various seasons, pursuing his passions and creating cherished memories.
A memorial service for Barry Neal will be held on January 3, 2025, at 1:00 PM EST at Striffler-Hamby Funeral Home in LaGrange, Georgia, officiated by Pastor Donald Yancy. Burial will follow at Whispering Hills Cemetery, with Brandon Brooks officiating the graveside service.
