Bill Jay Wright Jr.

Mr. Wright was born July 24, 1927 in Atlanta, GA, son of the late Bill Jay Wright, Sr. and Lucille Thrailkill Wright. He was a United States Marine Corp Veteran, serving during War World II. Mr. Wright was a graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology with a BA in Textile Engineering and was a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He was employed with Hollingsworth Textiles before retiring.

Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Burma F. Wright; three children, Charles R. Wright, Jan Wright Phipps, and Kathryn Wright Tilley; grandchildren, Kristy Williams, Katy Baira, John Beasley, Katie Beshara, Anne Marie Ranqel, Lauren Anderson, Chandler Tilley, and Haley Phipps.

A Celebration of life service will be held 3:00 P.M. Sunday, October 5, 2014 at First Baptist Church on the Square, LaGrange, GA with Dr. Paul Baxter and Rev. Paul Blair officiating. The gathering of family and friends will be on Sunday from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at the church.

Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to First Baptist Church on the Square, Meals on Wheels Program, in memory of Mr. Bill Jay Wright, Jr.
