Mr. Cofield was born February 25, 1949 in LaGrange, GA, son of the late Robert Coolidge Cofield and Ora V. Beam Cofield. He was a member of Living Waters Baptist Church and was self-employed as a construction worker. Mr. Cofield loved his church family and was an avid lover of coon hunting. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Janice Neighbors and a brother, Tommy Cofield.
Survivors include his wife, Diana Cofield; daughters, Renee Pye, Rebekah (Jim) Butler, Rhonda Cofield, and Robin (Aldo) Martinez; son, Cody Cofield; sisters, Diane (Frank) Cotton and Deborah (Kimble) Carter; brothers, Randy (Kathy) Cofield, Marshall (Cindy) Cofield, and Chris (Katie) Cofield; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
The Celebration of Life service will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Living Waters Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Clinard, Rev. Tommy McLeroy, and Rev. Woody Woodard officiating. Burial will follow in Meadoway Gardens Cemetery. The gathering of family and friends will be on Friday, June 15, 2018 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
