Carolyn J. Collier

Mrs. Collier was born March 16, 1940, daughter of the late Virgil Taft Donaldson and Catherine Pope Mallory. She was employed as a nurse before retiring. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Morrow and a brother, Gene Donaldson.

Survivors include her husband, Danny L. Collier; children, Madelyn Surynt, Sharon D. Futch, and Shane Collier; grandchildren, Brian Longshore, Kelly Quedens, Zane Faulk, Meredith Redlin, Ethan Futch, and Lauren Futch; great grandchildren, Garrett Quedens, Garred Quedens, Eric Longshore, Madison Longshore, Landon Faulk, and Morgan Faulk; and sister, Vivian Snider.

Funeral services will be held 6:00 P.M. Saturday, September 12, 2015 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with Ben Williamson and Sonny Fling officiating. A private burial will be in Shadowlawn Cemetery. The gathering of family and friends will be on Saturday from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to the Troup County Humane Society in memory of Mrs. Carolyn Jeanette Collier.
