

Mr. Singley was born January 30, 1943 in Atlanta, son of the late Hulen G. Singley and Elo Bentley Singley. He earned his Bachelors Degree from Belhaven College in Jackson, MS. Mr. Singley was a teacher for the LaGrange City Schools, Troup County Schools and Meriwhether County Schools; with a combined service of over 27 years. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of LaGrange.
Survivors include his wife, Sara H. Singley; a daughter, Darcey S. (Myron) Rogers; a son, Darby H. Singley, all of LaGrange; his brothers, Jerry W. (Pam) Singley of Oxford, GA, and Steve (Marsha) Singley of LaGrange; his sister, Brenda S. (Ronnie) Nichols of Loganville, GA; seven nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Phyllis H. (Denson) Blackston; and his daughters of the heart, Allison S. Dubovsky of Honolulu, HI, Hope M. Chiles of Oxford, England, and Melanie N. Davis of LaGrange.
Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. Monday, September 27, 2010 in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with Rev. Greg Cater officiating.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. and again on Monday from 2 p.m. until the funeral hour.
Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to either the First Presbyterian Church, Scholarship Fund or Antioch Christian Church in Roanaoke, AL.
