David Lawrence Soltis

David was born September 15, 1957 in Takoma Park, Maryland, son of the late John Andrew Soltis and Sarah Smith Soltis.

David was a kind soul, with a great laugh, who would give friends or strangers the shirt off his back. He worked for many years as a Master Plumber in LaGrange. He had a great love for animals, especially for his dog, “Bear”. David will be best remembered as a motorcycle riding, water skiing, burger grilling, NASCAR watching, fun loving person. He will be truly missed by all that knew him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Jennifer Soltis Trizzino.

Survivors include his son, Christopher (Jennifer) Soltis; granddaughter, Ellie Soltis; sister, Karen (Paul) Tobben; nephews, John, Daniel, and Michael Tobben; aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The Gathering of family and friends will be Saturday, August 15, 2015 from 10:00 am until 11:00am at the funeral home. A Memorial service will follow at 11:00am Saturday August 15, 2015 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the LaGrange-Troup County Humane Society or the American Kidney Foundation in memory of David L. Soltis.
