Donald Eugene Meister

Donald was born October 27, 1945 in Tipton, IN to the late Frank Meister and Mary Grace Smith Meister.

After high school, he attended Tristate College in Angola, IN where he graduated with a Mechanical Engineering Degree. Don held several positions with Cheverolet, Gradall, Baker Liftruck, Duplex and eventually retiring from Trackmobile here in LaGrange. His career at Trackmobile started in 1989 and finished in 2012. He was responsible and directed many innovations that modernized the product.

Don and Rose owned and operated a car repair service sometime before coming to LaGrange. During his time in LaGrange, they both enjoyed remodeling houses which they rented and sold.

Don is survived by his wife of 47 years, Rose Yosick Meister; children, James (Brenda) Swinderman of Canton OH, Kelly (Josh) Conley of Salem, OH, Teresa (Chris) Byers of New Philadelphia, OH, Mark (Angela) Meister of Atlanta IN, Andrew (Deanne) Meister of Canton, OH; 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grand-children.

In addition to his parents, Donald is was preceded in death by his brother, Lester Meister and his sister Jean Meister; both from Tipton, IN.

A Gathering of Family and Friends with be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 from 10:00 A.M to 11:00 A.M at St. Peters Catholic Church in LaGrange, GA. The Funeral Service will be held 11:00 A.M following the time of visitation.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to St. Peters Catholic Church in LaGrange, GA. or West Georgia Hospice in LaGrange, GA.
