Ernest Blake

Ernest was a graduate of McCall High School in Tallulah, LA, and Texas College in Tyler, TX.

Ernest moved to Georgia in the early 70s after marrying his wife of 54 ½ years, Lillian Delaney Blake. Together they guided the growth of three wonderful sons, Adrian Mark, Elgin Lamar, and Stephen Marcus.

Ernest was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and served many years as a ministerial servant and regular pioneer in the East LaGrange congregation. He enjoyed telling others about his great God, Jehovah.

He leaves to cherish his memories with his wife, Lillian, sons: Adrian (Carol), Columbus, GA and Stephan (Erin), Newnan, GA, daughter-in-love: Donna, LaGrange, GA, grandchildren: Marcus Ernest, Phenix City, AL, Tyler Justin, Danielle Anna, Columbus, GA, Annica Lenae, and Gianna Elise, Newnan, GA, siblings: Zelma, Gary, Indiana; Charlie (Doroi), William (Cathy), Christopher (Albertha), Stanley (Anita), Las Vegas, NV. A great number of other relatives, friends and a worldwide spiritual family.

He was preceded in death by both parents, 3 sisters, Leola, Flora Mae, and Patricia; 2 brothers, Lathemia and Robert Blake. A most cherished son, Elgin Blake.
