John Dwight Gray

Mr. John Dwight Gray, 70, of LaGrange, GA passed away June 29, 2016 at Hospice Atlanta. He was born January 10, 1946 in Jasper, AL to the late Glenn Hardy Gray and Marie Walker Flowers. Mr. Gray proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and retired from National Cash Register as a Service Technician, after 38 years of service. He was a faithful member of Sovereign Grace Church, where he was very active in the youth ministry. He will be missed by all.

Survivors include his loving wife of 39 years, Patricia “Pat” Counts Gray; daughter, Tiffiny (Greg) Tyree; son, James “Jimmy” (Becca) Gray; 8 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; step mother, Betty Gray; siblings, Jack (Stephanie) Gray, Rick (Carolyn) Gray, Phillip (Rebekah) Gray, Cammie (Billy) Powell; several cousins, nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends.

The Gathering of Family and Friends will be Friday, July 1, 2016 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at the funeral home. The Funeral Service will be 11:00AM Saturday, July 2, 2016 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with Pastor Russell Tusing and Brother Jordan C. Gray officiating. Burial will follow in Hillview Annex Cemetery.
