John Wayne 'Chuck' Scarbrough, Jr.

Chuck was born March 27, 1957 in LaGrange, son of Nanette Livingston Scarbrough and the late John Wayne Scarbrough, Sr. He was a 1976 graduate of Troup High School and had been employed with Kroger for 24 years. Chuck returned to college and was a 1996 graduate of Southern Union State Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Nursing. He was employed with Fresenius as a Registered Nurse. In addition to his father, Chuck was preceded in death by a sister, Lynn Scarbrough.

Survivors in addition to his mother, Nancy Scarbrough of LaGrange, include his sister, Vicki Overton; brother, Chris Scarbrough and his wife, Buffy, all of LaGrange; three children, Scarlett Lucas and her husband, Shaun, of Columbia, S.C., Amanda Martin and her husband, Matt, of Albany, GA, and Garrod Scarbrough and his fiancé, Sarah Plemmons, of LaGrange; and their mother, Connie Daniel Scarbrough; three granddaughters, Meghan Lucas, Kenna Lucas, and Rylee Lucas; two grandsons, Ryan Martin and Austyn Martin; three nieces, Taylor Overton, Morgan Overton, and Chloe Scarbrough; and one nephew, Walker Scarbrough.

Graveside funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 29, 2011 in Shadowlawn Cemetery with Minister Buddy Harris officiating.

The family will be at the home of his mother, Mrs. Nancy Scarbrough, 318 Sivell Road, and will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M.
