

Mr. Page was born September 29, 1933 in Vidalia, GA, son of the late Benjamin Randolph Page and Thelma Lugenia Hall Page. He was a member of First Baptist Church on the Square where he was a member of the Kizer Sunday School Class, involved with the Meals on Wheels program, and a former Deacon. Mr. Page was a veteran of the U.S. Army, former Rotarian and Paul Harris Fellow, and was an avid Granger and Auburn fan. Mr. Page was the owner of Maddox-Page Funeral Home, now Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, and has been a licensed funeral director for over 59 years.
Survivors include his wife, Doris F. Page of LaGrange, GA; children, Joseph E. (Ana) Page, Jr. of Suwanee, GA, Mary Lynn (George) Childress of LaGrange, GA, and Deborah (Sid) Alums of Mobile, AL; grandchildren, Joey Page, Jeremy Page, Allison Childress, Drake Childress, Carson Childress, Caroline Childress, Mary Katherine Alums, and John Lee Alums; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, December 24, 2015 at First Baptist Church on the Square, LaGrange, GA with Pastor Cade Farris, Dr. Paul Baxter, and Rev. Paul Blair officiating. Burial will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery. The gathering of family and friends will be on Wednesday from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to a favorite charity in memory of Mr. Joseph Eugene Page, Sr.
