Mrs. Pruitt was born January 22, 1939 in Shawmut, AL, daughter of the late Theodore Hollis and Myrtle Hale Hollis. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church and was the owner of The Cookie Store until she retired. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Teddy Pruitt.
Survivors include her children, Julia Renee Batchelor, Donald Lamar Pruitt, and Anthony Pruitt (Trina); grandchildren, Anjeanette McGhee Crorbin, Dayna Etheridge, Justin Pruitt, and Logan Pruitt; several great grandchildren; former husband, Gene Pruitt; and dear friend, Betty Foster.
Celebration of Life services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 7, 2021 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with Rev. Jimmy Pruitt officiating. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memory Gardens. The gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
