Lester Byron Knight

Mr. Knight was born August 5, 1947 in St. Petersburg, FL, son of Barbara Douglas Knight and the late Charles “Charlie” Knight. He was employed at Milliken Elm City as a Quality Assurance Manager until retirement. Mr. Knight served his country proudly in the United States Navy, during the Vietnam War. His greatest past times were hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Beth S. Knight; mother, Barbara Knight of New Bern, NC; son, Chuck Knight; daughters, Reagan (Chris) Morris and Christy Harrington; grandchildren, Hunter Harrington, Taylor Harrington, Blake Harrington, Sydney Knight, Kyleigh Morris, Bailey Morris; great grandchild, Emmaleigh Knight; sister, Nikki Saretto; brother, Terry Knight; a host of other relatives and friends, and his beloved pets, Roxie, Ozzy, and Harriett.

Memorial Services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 7, 2015 in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with Brother Greg Nichols officiating. The gathering of family and friends will be 1:00pm until service time on Saturday.
