Martha A Thomas

Martha was a very devoted woman, whether it be taking care of the kiddos or her work, she was one to always do it the right way. Martha was very talented musically, when she wasn't playing piano for weddings or special occasions at First Baptist Church in Pine Mountain, she could be found at the chapel at Callaway Gardens.

Martha loved to travel, she was lucky enough to see all 50 states. She regularly attended the Troup Senior Center and was the brains behind the trips for several years The Senior Center went on.

Although her love for travel was immense, nothing outweighed her love for her family. Martha's love for her family was nothing short of amazing, she was the best mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, daughter, and aunt. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.

Martha is preceded in death by husband Clifford Warren King (1963-2008) and husband Vestal Thomas (2009-2022), and parents J.C. Poole and Essie S. Poole. Along with brothers Denver Lawerence Poole, and Kenneth Arnold Poole.

She is survived by her Daughter Renee King, Son Clifford Warren King Jr. Grandchildren Trey (Sally) King, Dylan (Sara) King. Great- grandchildren Taytum, Ava Lyn, Hadley, Harman, Letty Beth, and Karsyn Jane. Sister-in-law Susan Poole. Along with many nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held 2:00 PM Friday May 23, 2025 at Pine Mountain Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to the local humane society in Martha's honor.
