Mrs. Crayden was born May 28, 1925 in Pelham, GA, daughter of the late C.W. Stoudenmire and Frances Eggart Stoudenmire. She was a member of First Baptist Church on the Square and served as a volunteer with the Merry Makers and Active Life Senior Center. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Crayden, Jr. and a sister, Nina Parks.
Survivors include her daughter, Francee Mitchell; granddaughter, Jennie Mitchell; grandsons, Blake (Alysha) Mitchell and Jay (Nikki) Mitchell; great-grandchildren, Lilah Mitchell, Baya Mitchell, Amelle Mitchell, and Hollyn Mitchell; brother, C.W. (Sandy) Stoudenmire; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 21, 2022 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, LaGrange, GA with Rev. Paul Blair officiating. The gathering of family and friends will be on Saturday from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to First Baptist Church on the Square or Hospice LaGrange in memory of Mrs. Ruby S. Crayden.
