Walter Delano McIntyre

Mr. McIntyre was born January 11, 1933 in Toccoa, GA, son of the late Sam Alexander McIntyre and Blanche Cooper McIntyre. He was a member of First Assembly of God and was retired from Milliken and Company, Hillside Plant. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a grandson, Joseph Allan McIntyre.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara McIntyre; two sons, Keith (Debbie) McIntyre and Tim (Teri) McIntyre; ten grandchildren, Missy (Anthony) Gates, Timothy McIntyre, Ariel McIntyre, Kassie McIntyre, Zach McIntyre, Joshua McIntyre, Angie (Thomas) Phillips, Monty (Kodie) Sims, Jacob (Teresa) Lierz, and Sarah Lierz; and twelve great grandchildren, Dakota Gates, Skylar Gates, Isabella McIntyre, Jayden McIntyre, Christian Mowers, Hunter Mowers, Star Phillips, Gage Phillips, Elijah Lierz, Josiah Lierz, Isaiah Lierz, and Avalyn Lierz.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, April 9, 2010 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Jimmy Norred and Reverend Lane Farley officiating. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memory Gardens.

The family will be at their home and will receive friends at the funeral home today from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
