Walter "Red" Haywood Alexander

Mr. Alexander was born in Harris County, GA, son of the late Raymond Haywood and Hattie Bartley Alexander. He was a member of Midway Baptist Church in Harris County. He and Jeannette were married for 66 years before her death in 2011. He was a farmer until his retirement at age 93.

Mr. Alexander is survived by a son, Walter L. Alexander of LaGrange; a daughter, Brenda Alexander Paschal (Herb) of Pickens, SC; two grandsons, Raymond Alexander (Shannon) of LaGrange, and Brian Paschal (Stephanie) of Pickens, SC; four great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Margie McDaniel, of Las Vegas, NV. In addition to his parents, Mr. Alexander was predeceased by two brothers, Abe Alexander and Charley Alexander.

Graveside services will be held at Restlawn Memory Gardens at 11:00 am onTuesday, April 14, 2015 with Pastor Charles Mitchell, of Midway Baptist Church, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Midway Baptist Church, 2495 Hopewell Church Road, Pine Mountain, GA 31822.
