Willie "W.G." Grover Weathers

W.G. owned and operated Weathers Honda Sales for 56 years where he worked every day. Known for his quiet strength, compassion and kindness. He touched many lives through his work and his character. He never passed up a chance to share a meal with his family and took great pride in caring for his cows. Active and hardworking until the final weeks of his life, W.G. lived with purpose and dedication.

He was a Past Master of Elm City Lodge #544 and a Master Mason for over 50 years, serving as lodge treasurer for more than 30 years. Above all else, W.G. loved his family, especially his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his sister, Macelia Brayton; his children, Tim (Brenda) Weathers, Andrew (Tricia) Weathers, Daryl Weathers, and Carol Weathers; his grandchildren, Josh (Amanda), Cody, Amber (John), Drew (Krystal), and Jessica (Joey); and his great-grandchildren, Kinley, Case, Eli, Jette, Olivia, JJ, Stella, Charlee, and Maeleigh.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Weathers, as well as his parents and brothers.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, February 5, from 12:00–1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, with a Celebration of Life beginning at 1:00 p.m. A committal service will follow at Shadowlawn Cemetery in LaGrange. After the services are concluded, the family invites everyone to a reception at Weathers Honda Sales beginning at 4:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Masonic Lodge. Checks may be left at the service or mailed to the Lodge. P.O. Box 544 Lagrange Ga, 30240.
