

She was born in Lake Charles to Lillie and Hugh LeDoux. Anna loved her family, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and all of her many friends .Her first job was at the Majestic Hotel as a switchboard operator. She retired after 30 years of service as a Supervisor at the Credit Bureau of Lake Charles. Anna was a past President and Chaplin of the local American Legion. She also was a member of the Woodmen of the World and Cajun French Music Association. She was President of the Krewe de les Cajuns and also served many years as an Auxilliary Pink Lady at Memorial Hospital. Anna had been very active in bowling leagues; she loved to travel, cook, play cards, dance and play bingo. She also loved costuming for the Mardi Gras activities, having reigned as a Queen in some of the Krewe de les Cajuns balls but this year rode in her final parade to her Heavenly Father.
Survivors include her son, Al Chesson and wife Laura of Sulphur; daughter, Gwendolyn Sonnier of Lake Charles; step-daughter, Jane Scott of Lake Charles; brother, Benny “Pete” LeDoux and wife Mary Lou of Lake Charles and a half-brother Frank LeDoux of DeRidder; sister, Peggy Guglielmo of Lake Charles and a half -sister Millbretta Reddler of DeRidder; grandchildren, Angela Wentzell and husband Scott, Christopher Chesson, and Jeromy Chesson all of Sulphur, Kirk Chesson and fiancé Jennifer of Baton Rouge, Ken Hungerford and wife Sally of Tallahassee, FL, Jamie Sonnier and Clint Sonnier of Lake Charles; great grandchildren, Mathew Savoie, Hannah, Sarah , and Abigail Wentzell, Riley Chesson ,Bella Sonnier, Kallie Sonnier, Maddison Sonnier and Kayley Rose Abel; great great grandchildren, Kyson Abel, Alizabeth Savoie, Jaxson Savoie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lillie and Hugh LeDoux; her husbands, Gilbert Chesson Sr. ,Sherman Fontenot and Curry Rozas; grandson, Kevin Abel; and brothers, Howard “Buddy” LeDoux and Ernest LeDoux and friend Wilson Gotreaux.
Her visitation will be on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles from 5p.m. to 9p.m. with an American Legion Service at 6:30p.m. Visitation will resume Friday at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service. The funeral will be Friday at St. Margaret Catholic Church at 1p.m. Burial will be at Sallier Cemetery with a reception afterwards at the funeral home.
