Beatrice Moore

Mrs. Moore was born September 8, 1933, and raised in Welsh, LA. She was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church and enjoyed traveling with her husband prior to his death. Beatrice also enjoyed reading and often spent free-time drinking coffee while discussing books and current events. Beatrice was often seen with a camera in her hands taking numerous fun pictures of her family members. In addition to these hobbies, she also sewed for relatives and friends.

She is survived by her son Larry Moore and his wife Susan of Mandeville, LA, grandson Logan Moore, also of Mandeville, a sister Mary Ann LeBlanc and husband Chester, of Lake Charles, LA, a brother Rodney Guillory and wife Margie of Bridge City, TX, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Orville Moore, parents Joseph and Mattie Guillory, and siblings Elisabeth Meche, Edison Guillory, and Wallace Guillory.

Visitation will commence at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles on Thursday, April 9, 2015 from 9:30 am until 1:30 procession time. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Margaret Catholic Church at 2:00 pm with Father Bill Miller as the celebrant. The committal will be conducted at 5:00 pm at Oak Bluff Cemetery in Port Neches, TX by Father David Edwards.

The family would like to thank the staff of Grand Cove Nursing Center and the staff of the ICU at Christus St. Patrick Hospital for the care she was given.
