Betty was an accomplished pianist and music educator. She taught piano lessons throughout her lifetime and also headed up the music program at Our Lady’s Catholic School in Sulphur, LA; Bishop Noland Episcopal Day School in Lake Charles, LA: and Bearss Academy in Jackson, Miss. She was chosen “Teacher of the Year” at both Bishop Noland Episcopal Day School and Our Lady’s Catholic School. She served as mentor-teacher for two years for the “Alliance for Catholic Education” program between Our Lady’s School and Notre Dame University, South Bend, Indiana. Our Lady’s Catholic School was awarded two grants by the Arts and Humanities Council of Southwest LA of which Betty wrote and coordinated. She and her late husband, Dr. Allan R. Fuller, headed up the Mississippi College Youth Orchestra in Clinton, Miss. She has inspired many with the love of music.
Betty is survived by her children: Melodie Manuel and husband Michael; Valerie Johnson and husband Robert; Grandchildren: Joshua Johnson, Jordyn Fox and husband Michael; and Mia Manuel. She was proceeded in death by her husband of 52 years, Dr. Allan R. Fuller, former Professor of Music at McNeese State University, Lake Charles, LA, her parents Henry and Jenny Stamps; brothers Gene and Jerry "Bud" Stamps; and two infant grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on October 8, 2019 at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles from 12pm until time of service. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 2pm. Burial to follow at Consolata Cemetery.
