Beulah Fruge Hebert

Beulah Fruge Hebert, 87, of Iowa, LA passed away June 5, 2016 at a local hospital. She was born in Lacassine, LA in 1928 to Ursin and Elina Dugas Fruge. One of 8 children she never lacked for a playmate while growing up. In 1946 she married the love of her life, Otis Hebert, and together they loved, laughed and danced until his death in 1997.

Beulah was loved by everyone who knew her and always had an open door for family and friends, whether for conversation or to savor her cooking. She had a laugh that could light up a room and you couldn’t help but join her once she started. She touched many lives throughout her life and so many loved ones will cherish their memories of her and miss her deeply.

Predeceased by her parents; Ursin and Elina Fruge, loving husband; Otis Hebert, sisters; Lily Fruge Moses, Ellie Fruge Manuel, Lessie McDaniel, and Deulah Rita Fruge Chatagnier, brothers; Bruce Fruge, Burke Fruge, and Coleman Fruge. She is survived by her son; Charles Hebert, daughters; Sandy Hebert-Reyes, Belinda Rivers and her husband Robert Rivers, grandsons; Brian Heath Rossitto of New Orleans and Travis Hebert of Corpus Christi, great grandchildren; Zeauxi Hebert and Tyler Soileau, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital, ICU, for their special and professional care of Mrs. Beulah.

Family will receive friends for a life celebration on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 from 12-2:00 pm with Rosary at 2:00 pm and Memorial Service at 2:30 at Hixson Funeral Home, 3001 Ryan St. Lake Charles, LA 70601.
