Brandi Marie (Ledet) Dering, age 50, of Lake Charles, Louisiana was liberated from earthly suffering following four years of fiercely battling cancer on the evening of Monday, January 2, 2023 in the comfort of her home. Brandi was born to parents Kippy Ledet and Maxine Oehler Ledet on June 18th, 1972 in Harvey, LA.
Brandi devoted her life to her family and to the care of countless children she considered her own, not by blood, but by love in her 35 years at Hart's Childcare. Her final days were spent in the warm company of her adoring family and friends whose unwavering love and admiration now honors her in death.
Brandi is reunited in heaven with her parents; and Step-father, Bill Hart.
Those left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband, Troy Dering; two children, Darian and Harrison Dering; and sister Nicole Woodcock. She also leaves behind a very loyal, beloved weenie dog, Rosie.
Visitation for Brandi will be held at Hixson Funeral Home at 3001 Ryan St. Lake Charles, LA, 70601 at 10am in the Chapel of Peace on January 9, 2023.
Services will follow visitation beginning at noon on January 9, 2023 leading the celebration of life is Hixson Celebrant Jody Barrilleaux.
A graveside service will follow at Consolata Cemetery in Lake Charles, LA.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of all whose lives she graced and her loss will be eternally felt by the many who loved her.
