Carolyn Edwards of Lake Charles, LA passed away surrounded by her loved ones on August 15, 2022. She was born January 21, 1947 in Beaumont, TX to parents Ernest and Della Everage. They moved to the lake area when she was a child and called it home from there on out.
Carolyn was known to be a very giving natured person, but very honest in her opinions. She loved to sew, any sort of craft, flower arranging, gardening, cooking, baking, decorating for holidays. Her favorite thing was to have family time and being in the company of those she loved most. She liked to play Pokeno with her girlfriends and LOVED to shop. Music and dancing were one of her favorite things. She always had music playing ranging from country to blues. She was a member of Eastridge Baptist Church in Lake Charles and she was very strong in her faith.
She will be welcomed into heaven by her husband of 48 years; Gordon Edwards, mother; Della Slater, sons; Jason Edwards, Mark Edwards, and brothers; James Everage and Robert Everage.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her father; Ernest Everage Jr. and wife Judy of Lake Charles, LA, daughters; Jennifer Buck of Lake Charles, LA and Deborah Harrison of Beaumont, TX, son; Jeffrey Moss of GA, sister; Wanda "Cookie" Gonzales of Houston, TX, 11 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
Visitation for Carolyn will be at Hixson Lake Charles, August 21, 2022 in the Chapel of Peace from 5pm-8pm.
Visitation resumes August 22, 2022 in the Chapel of Peace at 10am until funeral services at 11am. Services will be officiated by Brother Alan Weishampel.
Burial will follow services at Prien Memorial Park.
