Carolyn F. Heyd

She was a native of Big Lake, LA and has lived in Iowa for over 30 years. She worked for William Woodward Investments as a bookkeeper for 40 plus years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed growing vegetables in her garden and going fishing.

Survivors include her husband, of 15 years, Wayne "Bub" Heyd of Iowa, LA; daughter, Shaunna (Benjamen) Davis of Moss Bluff, LA; one stepson, David (Jessica) Heyd of Iowa ,LA; brother, Johnny (Pam) Venable of Daleville, AL; sister, Virginia Harper of Huntsville, AL; father, Willard Venable of Huntsville, LA; grandchildren, Benjamen Jr., Lexi, Cale, Lindsey, and Ryleigh.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Elizabeth Cates Venable.

A memorial service will be held 11 AM Monday, April 17, at Hixson Funeral Home in Lake Charles. Deacon Chapman will officiate. Visitation is from 9 AM Monday at the funeral home with a Rosary beginning at 10 AM. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com
