Daniel James Davidson

Daniel was born in Abbeville and was a resident of Grand Lake. He was retired from Baker Hughes as a mud technician. He loved hunting with his best friend JC Boudreaux. He also loved to fish. He was a wonderful loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.

Survivors include his loving wife, Vanessa Davidson of Grand Lake; three sons, Christopher Authement and wife Lisa of Ocean Springs, MS, Jarod Davidson and wife Rachel of Iowa, LA and Paul Davidson and companion Sabrina of Lake Charles; two daughters, Tina Adams and husband Michael of Sulphur, LA and Tara Miller and husband Troy of Creole, LA; one sister, Doris Eldridge and husband Aubrey of Lake Charles; 16 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; and his special dog and companion, Harley Davidson. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Marie Davidson; one son, Daniel Davidson II; sister, Ruby Dell and brother, Ray J. Davidson.

His funeral will be at 3 pm. Thursday, October 10, in Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. The Rev. Wayne Dartez will officiate. Burial will be in Sweetlake/Grand Lake Cemetery. Visitation is from 4p.m.-9p.m. Wednesday and will resume on Thursday from 9a.m. until service time. Pallbearers will be Eric, Brennan, Jarod, Teddy, Ted and Blayne. Honorary Pallbearers will be Blake and John Paul. A special thanks to Randal Boudoin, the best buddy and friend he could have ever had.
