He was born in Lake Charles and was a resident of Ragley. Darryl retired as a construction worker.
Survivors include his sister, Beverly Fruge, niece, Jessica “Booboo” Fruge and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Rayburn and Dorothy Gentry, sister, Cynthia Sieben.
Cremation services were provided by Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles.
