David Orsot, age 62, of Lake Charles, Louisiana passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2023 with his family by his side. David was born on April 2, 1961 in Lake Charles, Louisiana to Nicholas Orsot, Sr and Anna Mary Orsot.
David was known to have a big heart! He was passionate about doing the Lord's work and he would help anyone, person or animal, who was in need. David was a loving husband, father, brother, and uncle who will be missed greatly. David was a Master Plumber who owned and operated David Orsot Plumbing and Heating, Inc since 1994. He was raised in the plumbing field under the tutelage of his father and other Master Plumbers in the area. David had a knack for improving tools and parts, he was an inventor, and was a jack of all trades. In 2007, David established a Registered Apprenticeship Program that operates today under the Louisiana Plumbing Institute, LLC. He truly believed in plumbing education and the importance of licensure to the industry. David also spearheaded the establishment of a new organization that would help to guide Master Plumbers with their business choices and important issues to the plumbing community, the Association of Master Plumbers, LLC. before his passing.
David's hobbies included fishing, riding his Harley, and playing pool with his plumbing buddies. He loved horses. They were his connection to nature and his therapy.
David was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Paul Wayne Orsot(Christina), Richard Orsot(Karen) and foster sister, Annette Citizen.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Patricia Orsot; daughters, Margherita Orsot and Maria Orsot; a son, David-Joshua Orsot.

Father-in-law, Frank Chretien, Jr.; sister-in-laws, Pauline Victorian(Mitchell), Zena Guillory, Chloecile George(Kenneth), Adrienne Chretien, Bridget Charles(Terrence); brother-in-laws, Craig Guillory(Juanita), Patrick Chretien(Linda), Frankie Chretien, Travis Chretien(Sharonda); Step-brothers, Phillip Gradney(Evette), Christopher Gradney(Elaine); Step-sister, Dianne Lefrere(Carl), and numerous nieces and nephews.
Sam Pappillion who David loved like a nephew. Sam called David "Unc" and David called Sam "Neph".

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday with a Rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. and a Cursillo Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at J.E. Hixson Funeral Home. Visitation will resume from 9:00 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church with Rev. Wayne LeBleu officiating. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery in Lake Charles.
