Dorothy Mae Cochran, 88, of Lake Charles, passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital. She was born to her late parents, Louis and Celestine Fontenot on August 30, 1932 in Mamou, LA. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, true story movies, and watching her "Soaps". Most of all, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, who she loved dearly.
She is survived by her daughters, Wanda Broussard, Janet Lavergne; sons, John Cochran, Curtis Cochran, all of Lake Charles; one granddaughter, Kelly Davis (Steve) of Iowa; and one great granddaughter, Sabrina Davis.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Wilburn Cochran; daughter, Beverly Cochran; two brothers, Walter Fontenot, Harry Fontenot; and one sister, Alice Trahan.
A Graveside Service will be held at Consolata Cemetery on Friday, May 28, 2021 at 10:00am.
