

Mrs. Conner was born in Grand Chenier to Edmond and Mergurphy Logue, and lived in Creole from the time of her wedding until Hurricane Rita, after which she moved to Grand Lake. She was a beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She lived her life as a homemaker, attending to her five children. She was an avid cook, gardener known for her gorgeous flowers, and loved spending time with her precious children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dorothy was a lifetime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Creole.
Mrs. Conner is survived by three sons, Gerald Conner and wife Avita of Sulphur, Lynn Conner and wife Catherine of Lake Charles, and Ronnie Conner and wife Shirley of Grand Chenier, one daughter, Mary Anne Johnson and husband Ron of Grand Lake, as well as one daughter-in-law, Judy Conner of Kaplan. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren, as well as four nephews. She was preceeded in death by her husband, Lee Conner, a son, Terry Conner, her sister, Margie Brown and a grandson, Joshua Johnson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday, March 21 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Creole with the Rev. Tim Goodly celebrating. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 20 from 4 P.M. to 9 P.M. with a rosary to be said at 6 P.M at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles.
