Dustin "Cole" Johnson

He was a lifelong resident of Moss Bluff and a member of St. Theodore Catholic Church. He attended Holy Family Catholic School in Moss Bluff where he was a 7th grader and won many awards including student of the year 2008-2009. He also was a member of the Beta Club for which he was elected chaplain. He was an avid collector and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and swimming with his family and friends.

Survivors include his parents, Dwayne and Amy Johnson; paternal grandparents, Joseph and Agnes Johnson of Lake Charles; maternal grandparents, Gerald and Marjorie Appleton of Columbia, SC; aunt, Karen Johnson of Lake Charles; uncles, James Johnson and wife, Tish of Arlington TX, David Johnson of Lake Charles, Scott Appleton and wife, Patti of Columbia, SC, Eric Appleton and wife, Alexis of Shreveport, LA, as well as numerous cousins and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday September 20, 2010 at St. Theodore Catholic Church. Bishop Glen John Provost, Msgr. Charles Dubois and Rev. Whitney Miller will officiate. Burial will be in New Richie Cemetery. Visitation will be at Sunday from 2-9 p.m. with rosary at 6 p.m. at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles, 3001 Ryan Street. Visitation will resume on Monday from 8 a.m. til time of service at St. Theodore’s.
