She was a native of Georgia. She loved bingo, bowling cooking and casinos. She was a member of the Hi-Lo Seniors Bowling League.
Survivors include her husband, William "Burt" Doucet; daughter, Margie Benoit of Texas; brother, Gene Murphy of Plant City, FL; 5 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Chapman.
Her funeral will be 11am Friday, April 6, 2012 at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Visitation will begin Thursday, 10am-9pm and Friday 8am until service time. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com.
